Suman currently owns a family business engaged in General Medical Services. She studied and graduated with Civil Law and Special Education-Disabilities and was a Bank Officer Executive for 30 years. During her career in banking she was able to explore many aspects of business especially establishing rapport, marketing and conversion and risk management.

Suman has been a member of SI Sigatoka Club since 1995 and has held positions including Club Secretary, Treasurer and President. At a Region level she has held positions of President and Treasurer, Constitution, Public Relations, Extension and Training Convenor. She was associated with the SI Region of Fiji for 15 years continuously, ensuring smooth operation and continuity of the organisation.

Suman has held the position of Program of Service/UN Liaison at a Federation level and has been National Representative of Fiji twice.

Christine is an IT Professional and has worked in the IT Industry for over 30 years. Working as an IT Professional exposed her to a variety of IT related jobs and as the industry evolved so did Christine’s skills and experience. From working as a computer operator to a coder, training as a Microsoft Office Professional, including completing a Cert IV in Adult Training. Switching to IT Project Management, then Business Analyst in Software development. IT has always provided change and upskilling to stay abreast of technology advances.

Christine joined SISWP in 1992 and loves being a Soroptimists. The friendship which this brings, but more importantly the opportunities to implement projects within her local community to improve the lives of women and girls. “I am very proud of the fact that I have used my extensive IT skills to assist with the implementation of many IT related software packages to enable SISWP to improve the way in which we do business”.

Since being a member of SISWP, Christine has held positions including; Federation Asst Programme Director 1, SWP ICT Liaison, Public Relations Convenor, Region President, Region Programme UN, Club President, Club Secretary, Club Treasurer and Club Programme Reporter.

Constitution Convenor 2020-2022
Invercargill, New Zealand

Virginia has been a Soroptimist and member of SI Invercargill since 1986.
She has served as President of SI Invercargill and of SI NZ South, been a councillor to SISWP for 2 years, was Constitution Convenor for SISWP 2012-2014, was a member of SI Constitution and Resolutions Committee 2012-2014 , was a consultant to the SISWP voting delegation to SI Board meeting Cambridge in 2013 and was Chair of SI Constitution Committee 2015-2017 in which role she undertook work connected with the setting up of SI (Soroptimist International) Limited, it’s constitution , bylaws, manuals, policies and roles and responsibility statements for officers of SI.

Virginia is a lawyer by profession having practised for approx. 41 years, 40 of which as a partner in the legal firm of Eagles, Eagles and Redpath based in Invercargill, New Zealand.

Wendy Logan SmlWendy Logan 

Finance Convenor 2020-2022
SI Nelson, New Zealand

Wendy is currently contracted to advise Early Childhood Centres on government legislative requirements, governance and management and maximising government funding. She sits on the Boards of two Early Childhood Centres and the Board of a non-government organisation that is a registered charitable Trust receiving government funding to work with the most at risk families in the region. She holds a Bachelor of Accounting degree and was the CEO of a non-profit Kindergarten Association with a turnover of around $10m for 28 years.

Wendy has been a member of Soroptimist International of the South West Pacific for over 30 years and has been Club SI Nelson NZ, Chairperson, Treasurer for four years and Executive member for three x four year terms. She has also served as SI New Zealand South Region treasurer for four years, SISWP Federation Treasurer for four years and SI Finance Convenor for one year.

 Di completed an Arts degree, a separate teaching qualification and taught for over 40 years as both a secondary teacher in mainly English and History and as an administrator at several levels.

She joined a new club SI Tea Tree Gully as a charter member and over 9 years filled almost every executive position. She enjoyed the Programme activity the most but after venturing into Region she became a Health Coordinator at the region and federation level.
In 2010, Di became a Programme Coordinator and really enjoyed the insight into programmes and advocacy. She gradually learned more, said more and finally became Programme Director. This was a major learning curve for her as she was also Director of the Company. This gave her wonderful opportunities and she said that when she completes her second tenure in 2022, she will thank SISWP for the amazing experiences across the world.

 Wendy’s career commenced as a member of the Women’s Royal Australian Naval Service as a Radio Operator. After leaving the Navy she worked at Wander (Australia) Pty Ltd, makers of Ovaltine before moving to Norvac Pty Ltd, the Mobil Fuel Distributor for Tasmania as Financial Controller and then State Manager. Then moving into the not for profit sector at The Asthma Foundation of Tasmania as Finance Manager and then General Manager. After the closure of the Foundation, she went back into the for profit sector as Finance Officer, working for the Cooper Group and is a Fellow of Institute of Public Accountants.

Wendy became a member of Soroptimist International in Devonport in 1999 before transferring to Hobart in 2001. She has held various club positions including President, Secretary, Treasurer, and ICT. At Region level, she has been a delegate and held office as Secretary and Treasurer, attending the Conference of Clubs in Sydney (2016) and Melbourne (2018) and was an observer at the IBM in Sydney in 2014. As a member of SI Hobart, she represent s the club at A Fairer World, a social justice hub that provides diversity education in schools and workplaces, through a Human Library.


Kimberly BeremKimberly Berem

National Representative Papua New Guinea 2020-2022
SI Ramu, Papua New Guinea

 Kimberly is a Lawyer by profession and is currently the Legal Officer with NBPOL’s Ramu Agri Industries Limited, Papua New Guinea’s largest agriculture entity, a position she has held for 7 years now. Her 13 years as a Lawyer has seen her find her calling in Corporate/Commercial Law.
Her passion for working with ordinary Papua New Guineans drove her to undergo training in Basic Mediation Skills Training and she is a Provisionally Accredited Mediator affiliated to PNG Centre for Judicial Excellence.

Kimberly is a member of SI Ramu and has not regretted her decision to become a Soroptimist. She has held various positions in the Club-Membership Convenor, ICT Publication, and Club Secretary and President from 2018-2019. Her project as President - “Back to Basics with Education” where she organised a historic fundraising event by partnering with Ramu Golf Club to host a Charity Gold Day for the project. She also initiated an education scholarship fund in honour of PNG’s national flag designer- “Susan Karike Huhume Memorial Scholarship” launched in September 2019. She secured funds in time to sponsor the first few girls in 2020. She was the 2019 SISWP scholarship winner and attended the UNCSW63 in New York.


Saradha 1Saradha Narayanan

National Representative Malaysia 2020-2022
SI Damansara, Malaysia

Saradha is a retired Physician and Cardiologist with more than 25 years’ experience working in various hospitals in both the government and private sector in Malaysia. She is a life member of the Malaysian Medical Association (MMA) and the College of Physicians and was inducted into the Academy of Medicine in 1995.
She is also the author of 3 books and has written many articles on medical tourism for e-publication.

Saradha is a member of SI Damansara since 2008 where she served as club President and later Secretary. She served as Member Development Convenor for SI Region of Malaysia (SIROM) for 2 years and later as President of SIROM for 2 years from 2017-2019. As SIROM President, she spearheaded the project “Clean Water for Rural Communities” to bring potable water to 2 remote villages in Sarawak and Sabah. She also organised a public forum and movie screening on human trafficking and led a project called “Cycling for Cycles” to buy bicycles for village malaria workers in Cambodia.


Tasneem Ali

National Representative Fiji 2020-2022
SI Nadi, Fiji

 Tanseem is a Fiji based Soroptimist who lives in Nadi and joined the club in 1990. She is a mother of 4 and her educational background is in Law, Sociology, International Relations and Development and International Politics and Diplomacy. She is a former UN official and has worked for two UN agencies. She has worked for the Int'l Labour Organisation as a Senior Programme officer and was responsible for overseeing projects and programmes and undertake country mission within the ILO's Pacific member countries. Her second job was with the UN-ITC (Int'l trade Center) as a Project Team Leader for a project in Fiji. She has also served on several UN Committee Working Groups and Taskforces and also as a member of the Fiji Disability Committee. Tasneem is also a research consultant and has undertaken several research assignments for research agencies including UN agencies.

Her last job was that of a CEO for the World Green Climate Association for the Oceania region. She took leave from Soroptimist for a few years for further studies and rejoined in 2013. She has held several executive roles in the Nadi club, including the role of club President, Secretary, Programme coordinator, and region extension officer. Her main passion has always been the love, dedication, and service for the poor and disadvantaged which is a key reason she has always valued Soroptimist work. She has, as a result, undertaken some major projects as a Soroptimist within the region of Fiji which includes school building projects, rural electrification and water projects for disadvantaged communities in addition to disaster relief support to the victims of natural disasters such as cyclones and flooding. Tasneem is currently undertaking preliminary research for her PhD studies. She is currently the National Representative for the Region of Fiji.

Anusha is a Corporate Strategist and Leadership Coach specialising in investor relations and international business mentoring. She has more than 30 years’ experience in coaching and mentoring Boards of Directors of more than 1,000 public listed companies.

Anusha concentrates on advising corporations and government-linked companies on corporate social responsibility, sustainable development practices and global issues management. Since 2011 she has been extensively involved in conflict resolution work including international relations and inter-Governmental policy negotiations at United Nations centres around the world in conjunction with UN Summits and Negotiation Meetings, working discreetly and confidentially with government agencies who seek her advice.
Anusha is an appointed panellist and spokesperson at forums organized by Asia-Europe Foundation and Japan Centre for International Exchange, ASEAN Consultative Council on Trade & Business, APEC Forum, ASEAN Business Summit and ASEAN-US Trade Dialogues and is a Justice Institute of British Columbia, Canada accredited International Mediator and Negotiator /Board Coach and Trainer.

Anusha has previously served as Director on the world Board of Soroptimist International and also as Soroptimist International Assistant Programme Director in charge of global advocacy and Soroptimist representatives at all UN centres worldwide. At Club level she has held many positions including President and Publicity Convenor within SI Petaling Jaya Club.
