Leadership can make or break individuals, teams and organisations. Leadership is about people and influence. Leadership can impact strategy development and execution, culture, engagement. governance and performance. It is a skill, comprised of traits, skills and behaviours - all of which can be learned and developed. Knowing your strengths and weaknesses and your own natural or default leadership style is the first step to becoming a more effective leader. You must know and understand yourself before you can lead others.
The first session in the two-part series introduces participants to the concepts of leadership, differences between managing and leading, the importance of followers to leaders and leading in the 21st century. Participants will also be provided with a tool to assess their natural leadership style and receive a comprehensive guide to help them understand their strengths and weaknesses.
